Classroom Activity: Searching for Gravitational Wave Signals in Noisy Data (Level: High School; Science Theme: Data analysis). Students become gravitational wave data analysts, searching for evidence of gravitational waves in noisy detector data.
Classroom Activity: Extracting Astrophysical Information from Simulated Gravitational-Wave Signals (Level: Advanced High School; Science Themes: Data analysis, gravitation, wave behavior, modeling). Building upon the "Searching Gravitational Wave Signals in Noisy Data" activity, students measure properties of binary neutron star systems from the gravitational wave signals they emit.
